I’m really excited to finally share this little “Mørklagt” sing-thru/screaming tutorial with you guys today! This video has been a long time coming, as I’m often getting questions on how I do my screaming voice. I finally took the time to show you a technique of how to replicate the sound I personally am creating while screaming. There are many, many other techniques out there of course, but I hope this insight can be useful nonetheless. Screaming is a highly emotional and cathartic way to express vocals, something I personally love about it, but it can also lead to great damage if practiced in the wrong way over time. Hopefully this video can give you a few tips on how to practice this expression in a safe manner, while still keeping that emotional edge. So excited to finally announce this split EP with Unreqvited, to be released by Prophecy Productions in January 2020! Featuring 2 new Sylvaine tracks, in addition to guest vocals on one of the Unreqvited tracks, this EP let me explore a more stripped down side of Sylvaine. One of my songs also brought me back to my original compositional instrument, the piano. Can’t wait to share some of the music with you very soon!

“Mørklagt” is one of my favorite tracks of the new record, which makes it so exciting to share this with you today! It was the last one written for “Atoms Aligned, Coming Undone”, and holds a strong Nordic inspiration. I decided to use Norwegian lyrics for the full track as well to underline this aspect, to create a different timber for the vocals. The track also features some pretty intense drums from Neige of Alcest. Hope you guys will like it!
